Non-hotel Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey. March 2025. Provisional data 30 April 2025

Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation fell 13.8% in March compared to the same month in 2024. Overnight stays in apartments increased 2.8%. Those in campsites decreased by 34.6%, in rural tourism by 28.8% and in hostels by 31.2%.

The Holiday Dwellings Occupancy Survey provides information on the supply and demand for this type of accommodation, registered as such in the corresponding Tourism Departments of each Autonomous Community. From the point view of demand, information is offered on travellers, overnight and average stays, distributed by country of residence of travellers and category of the establishments that are occupied or by Autonomous Community of origin in the case of Spanish travellers; from the supply point of view information on the estimated number of establishments open, estimated vacancies, occupancy rate, as well as information on employment in the sector is provided. This information is provided monthly, at the following levels: national, Autonomous Community, provincial, tourist area and tourist spot.

The Holiday Dwelling Price Index is a statistical measure of the monthly evolution of the prices that holiday dwelling establishments charge their clients. It provides information at the national level broken down by type of rates and by dwelling type.
