- In February, 201,723 properties were registered in the property registers, 6.2% more than in the same month of the previous year.

The number of property transfers recorded in the property registers (from previously executed public deeds) in the month of February was 201,723, which was 6.2% more than in the same month of 2024.
As regards registered property sales, the number of transfers was 117,030, an annual increase of 11.4%.

87.3% of registered sales in February were urban properties and 12.7% were rural properties. Among urban properties, 58.4% were home sales and purchases.
In February, the number of rural property sales increased by 7.1% in annual rate and the number of urban property sales by 12.1%. Within the latter, housing sales recorded an annual rise of 13.9%.
93.3% of the housing transferred by sale in February were open market and 6.7% were protected.
In annual terms, the number of homes transferred by sale increased by 14.5% and the number of social housing dwellings by 5.6%.
23.3% of the housing transferred by sale in February were new and 76.7% were used.
The number of new home transactions increased by 21.5% compared to February 2024 and the number of used ones by 11.8%.
Principado de Asturias (27.9%), Andalucía (20.4%) and Aragón (15.8%) recorded the highest annual rates of change in the total number of properties transferred in February.
In contrast, La Rioja (-7.6%), Castilla y León (-7.0%) and País Vasco (-4.3%), registered the lowest annual rates.
Regarding the registered housing sales and purchases, the Autonomous Communities with the highest increases were Principado de Asturias (33.6%), La Rioja (24.1%) and Andalucía (24.0%).
Meanwhile, Comunidad Foral de Navarra (-26.7%) was the only Autonomous Community to record a negative annual rate.
